May 2015 marked Otherplace's tenth year on the Fringe...
and it was our most ambitious to date. At the start of the year we left Upstairs at Three and Ten in Kemp Town for The Basement, a wonderful purpose-built performance space in the heart of Brighton and this May, we unveiled a new site for our award-winning pop-up The Warren, next to St Peter's Church on York Place.
The moves meant we were able to stage an even bigger Fringe programme of more than 150 shows across the two venues.
Otherplace at The Basement is an atmospheric underground network of rooms including a bar and two performance spaces.
Our Brighton Fringe pop-up The Warren was transplanted to the green behind St Peter's Church on York Place...there was a bustling Festival Bar, food stalls run by local legends Street Diner, a big top The Warren Main House, a custom-built Theatre Box and the Neilson Stage, which ran free entertainment throughout May.
The majority of shows cost no more than £10 and we had 2-4-1 ticket offers and family discounts throughout May.
