We have recently vacated our previous Kensington Street venue, The Basement and channelled all our efforts into our much-loved pop-up The Warren, which will host all Otherplace shows this May.
We've a total of four venues, a rooftop bar, a children's area and stalls by local traders and 162 shows this Fringe, making it our biggest year to date.
In addition to the existing Otherplace Theatre Box, there is now a 200-seat, bowler-hat shaped Main House, and two new venues. Studio 2 is a 60-seater with a raised stage, while Studio 3 is a flexible 50-seater performance space. The four venues will host a programme that spans theatre, comedy, cabaret, dance, opera, spoken word, music and film.
Also new for 2016 is a rooftop bar, where revellers can enjoy craft beers from a bird’s eye perch overlooking the entire site. Open until 12am weekdays and 2am at weekends it joins festival bar, a coffee shop open from 8am daily, and a selection of stalls selling fresh, tasty festival food from all over the world.
